AN
ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE OF THE
AFFTON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY,
AND REPEALING ALL OTHER CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
BE
IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE AFFTON
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI
AS FOLLOWS:
AN
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGULATIONS GOVERNING
THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, ENLARGEMENT,
REPAIR, CONVERSION, USE OR MAINTENANCE OF ALL
BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES TO SAFEGUARD LIFE, PROPERTY
OR PUBLIC WELFARE FROM THE HAZARDS OF FIRE AND
EXPLOSIONS, KNOWN AS THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE;
PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS, COLLECTION OF
FEES, MAKING OF INSPECTIONS; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
THE VIOLATION THEREOF; REPEALING EXISTING ORDINANCE
NUMBERS OF THE AFFTON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
SECTION
1. ADOPTION OF THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE.
That certain documents, copies of which are on file in
the office of the Fire Code Official of the Affton
Fire Protection District, being marked and designated
as the "International Building Code," 2003
Edition, including Appendix Chapter C "Group
U-Agricultural Buildings" and Appendix Chapter I
"Patio Covers" (see "International
Building Code" Section 101.2.1, 2003 edition),
the "International Residential Code," 2003
Edition, and the "International Fire Code,"
2003 Edition including Appendix Chapter B "Fire
Flow Requirements for Buildings," Appendix
Chapter C "Fire Hydrant Locations and
Distribution," Appendix Chapter D "Fire
Apparatus Access Roads" Appendix Chapter E
"Hazard Categories," Appendix Chapter F
"Hazard Ranking," and Appendix Chapter G
"Cryogenic Fluids-Weight and Volume
Equivalents" (see "International Fire
Code," Section 101.2.1, 2003 Edition), as
published by the International Code Council, Inc.
referenced herein and hereby adopted and declared to
be The Fire Prevention Code of the Affton Fire
Protection District of St. Louis County, Missouri,
for the control of building and structures and each
and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties,
conditions, and terms of the "International
Building Code," 2003 Edition, the
"International Residential Code," 2003
Edition, and the "International Fire Code,"
2003 Edition, as published by the International Code
Council, Inc. referenced herein and hereby referred
to, adopted and made part hereto by reference, as is
fully set out in this Ordinance, with the additions,
insertions, deletions, and changes, if any prescribed
in the following sections of this Ordinance.
"Fee
Schedule" Fee Schedule for building permits,
inspections and miscellaneous fees of the Affton Fire
Protection District of St. Louis County,
Missouri. All additional fees assessed are in
addition to the regular permit fee and shall be paid
prior to the issuance of the permit and/or prior to
any further inspections. All permit, inspection
and miscellaneous fees shall be paid at the
Administrative offices of the Affton Fire Protection
District. The fee schedule shall be as follows:
